Windham
The third Catskills ski town — quieter than Hunter, less remote than Belleayre, and a quietly good summer base.
Windham completes the Catskills ski-town trio: Hunter is biggest and loudest, Belleayre is the western anchor, and Windham splits the difference. Windham Mountain Resort runs a four-season operation out of the village, with serious ski terrain in winter and a growing summer mountain-bike + adventure park calendar through the warm months. The Windham Path runs three flat miles through the village, the surrounding Greene-County hill country opens onto the Black Dome and Blackhead trail systems, and Hensonville next door has the kind of quiet farm-stay lodging that makes Windham an easier weekend than Hunter.
