What to expect
Avalon Lounge on Main Street in Catskill (the town) runs the most consistent indie-music programming in eastern Greene County. Touring indie, regional jazz, occasional larger names. The room is small (~150 cap), the booking is curious, and the bar is good. Most shows on Friday or Saturday nights. Adults 21+ pre-roll at your Catskill-area lodging — Avalon is a private bar with the standard no-cannabis policy.
The rule, plainly
Adults 21 and over may possess up to three ounces of flower and 24 grams of concentrate, bought from a licensed shop. New York state law prohibits cannabis consumption on state-owned land and in public spaces. What it means for your evening: buy sealed from a licensed shop, keep it closed in the car, and consume only where the venue allows; rentals set their own house rules, so ask before you book.Checked Sep 2026 · Source: OCM
