Roscoe calls itself Trout Town, USA, and has the paperwork to back it up — Junction Pool, where the Beaverkill meets the Willowemoc, has been a pilgrimage site for fly fishers since the 19th century. The town itself is tiny: one diner, one fly shop, one theater, and a handful of fishing lodges out into the hills. April 1 opening day of trout season still fills the place. No dispensary in Roscoe; Livingston Manor is fifteen minutes away.
