Hunter Mountain, the Doctorow Center, and the busiest ski-town weekend in the region.

Hunter runs on the mountain. Hunter Mountain’s lifts open in November and close in April, and the village lives around that rhythm — rentals, rental shops, àprès bars, and the Doctorow Center’s indie film screenings through the winter. The Catskill Mountain Foundation runs a serious programming calendar out of Hunter and next-door Tannersville. No dispensary in Hunter proper yet; Wintergreen in Tannersville is the closest.
